CHICAGO — Two University of Chicago students were robbed at gunpoint early Sunday near a residence hall.
At around 12:40 a.m., two students were walking in the 1100 block of East 55th Street near the Campus North Residence Hall.
Three unknown suspects, exited a black sedan, a possible Maserati, armed with handguns.
The two students were robbed of their property and the suspects fled eastbound on 55th Street in the sedan.
No injuries were reported.
Around ten minutes earlier, a person was robbed by three unknown suspects in the 5500 block of South Cornell. It’s unknown if this person was a student or if the incidents are connected at this time.
