3 songs from London Morning to boost your playlist | CBC News
London Morning’s associate producer Ryan Soulliere listens to a lot of music for his role picking tunes for the show. In any given week, that’s about 25 songs. Here are his top three local and Canadian picks from last week.
Anddre Mafra – Seu Sonho Agora
London-based singer-songwriter Anddre Mafra knows how to write music that pulls at the heartstrings. Mafra’s latest single Seu Sonho Agora is a slow, guitar-driven song that would make a great soundtrack for a rainy day. The song is not without its bright spots as Anddre’s vocals bring light into the mix like a silver lining in the clouds. Seu Sonho Agora would work well as a nice weekend day starter or when you want a calm moment to relax.
Kattie Tupper – She Said
Katie Tupper has some fantastic music that delves into R&B and soul. She Said is a smooth track with vocals that have you leaning in right away and a bassline that will linger with you. Katie Tupper’s She Said is a great song to relax to and will make a perfect day starter. She Said will also fit well on a dinner party mix when you want a some solid tunes without any harshness.
Mother Mother with Cavetown – Dirty Devil Town
Now it’s time to turn up the tempo and that’s what you’ll get with this duet track by Mother Mother & Cavetown. This version of Dirty Devil Town is a bit faster than the original by Mother Mother and it works very well. Dirty Devil Town is versatile enough for almost any playlist that needs a little lift. The tempo on Dirty Devil Town is also great for weekend chores.
