Three Winnipeg police officers have been charged after an internal investigation, police announced at a news conference on Thursday.

Const. Elston Bostock, 47, Const. Matthew Kadyniuk, 32, and Const. Jonathan Kiazyk, 46, have all been charged with breach of trust and other offences stemming from allegations made earlier this year, public information officer Const. Dani McKinnon said.

Police notified the province’s police watchdog, the Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba, on May 7, which took over the investigation.

The officers were charged on Wednesday.
