5-year-old among 3 injured in hit-and-run crash on Far South Side
CHICAGO — A 5-year-old boy is among three people injured in a hit-and-run crash on the city’s Far South Side.
The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. Sunday on the 1600 block of East 103rd Street.
According to police, a male driver was traveling westbound in a gray-colored Hyundai sedan, when he failed to stop at a red light and struck a Honda van in the intersection.
The driver of the Hyundai then fled on foot and is not in custody.
A 5-year-old boy in the van was transported to Comer Children’s Hospital in good condition and two women were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center also in good condition.
