Sitansisk First Nation, also known as St. Mary’s, invited political candidates to attend a community forum on Thursday night in Fredericton to answer questions from Sitansisk members.
Jill Green of the Progressive Conservatives, Matthew Socek of the NDP, Anthea Plummer of the Greens and Luke Randall of the Liberals attended, answering questions on tax agreements, unceded territory and funding for First Nations.
At one point during the evening, CBC content creator Ann Paul asked the candidates to speak from the heart.
“I know what you have to offer, but tell me what’s inside you,” she said.
