A popular nordic ski area in Thunder Bay is taking steps to prevent the loss of trees from spruce budworms

Kamview Ski Area in Thunder Bay, Ont., is select cutting a number of trees in an attempt to protect its trails. The area has been hit hard by the spruce budworm, and that could mean many dead trees and the risk of wildfires. The CBC’s Mary-Jean Cormier went for a walk through the area with Ross Johnston, chair of Thunder Bay Nordic Trails, to learn more.
