A27 closed for hours following four vehicle crash
Another car was overturned following the crash, which involved three cars and one van.
The crash occurred at 3.17pm on the A23 near the slip road to Devil’s Dyke Road and Hove, near Patcham.
The A27 was closed both ways with traffic at a standstill.
A spokeswoman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue said: “We were called to a road traffic collision at 3.17pm today between A23/A27 Westbound towards Devil’s Dyke Road. Road closures were put in place. Traffic has been badly affected both Eastbound and Westbound.”
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Police were called to a collision involving four vehicles on A27 near Hove, around 3.15pm on 14 December. No injuries were reported.
“A nearby slip road was closed temporarily for vehicle recovery.”
