Andrew Concannon, 59, died at a property on Darwen Road.
There are no “suspicious circumstances” surrounding his death, police have said.
Officers are now looking to find Mr Concannon’s family.

A police spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace the family of Andrew Concannon from Bolton.
“Andrew, aged 59, died at a property on Darwen Road, Bolton on December 23.
“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding their death.
“Anyone with information about Andrew’s next of kin should contact the police coroner’s office in Bolton on 0161 856 4687.”
