Boulder police are investigating after six college students overdosed Saturday night, a case potentially linked to a tainted batch of cocaine and a botched fraternity pledging, investigators said.

Between 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Boulder officers responded to the Kappa Sigma fraternity house at 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue for reports of multiple overdoses, the police department said Sunday.

At least six men were taken to the hospital or treated on scene by paramedics, police said. All six are expected to survive.

Police said the group consumed a possibly tainted batch of cocaine at a Saturday night party at the house and alcohol was involved.

Detectives are investigating whether this was related to pledging at the fraternity, police said.
