Boy, 16, charged with 2nd-degree murder after another boy killed in northern Manitoba | CBC News
Charges have been laid against a 16-year-old boy arrested last week in connection with the death of another boy in northern Manitoba.
The 16-year-old is charged with second-degree murder and and remains in custody for a court appearance in Thompson, RCMP said in a news release on Monday.
Officers were called around 1:55 a.m. on Oct. 4 about an assault happening outside a home in Marcel Colomb First Nation, also known as Black Sturgeon Falls, about 800 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg.
Officers found a 16-year-old boy who was pronounced dead at the scene. Another 16-year-old boy was arrested.
RCMP continue to investigate.
