Busy road closed due to ongoing police incident

Cops have shut Main Street in the Condorrat area after they received a report of an alleged disturbance in a shop on the street.

Officers were alerted to the incident at around 11.20am on Monday, December 23.

Emergency crews are in attendance at the scene.

The force has said there are no reported injuries and one man has been arrested.

An investigation is underway.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 11.20am on Monday, December 23, 2024, police received a report of a disturbance in a shop in Main Street, Condorrat, Cumbernauld.

“Emergency services are in attendance.

“There are no reports of any injuries and one man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.

“Main Street is temporarily closed as emergency services deal with the incident.”
