Cardi B has cancelled a festival performance in the US, as she recovers from a “medical emergency” in hospital.

The American rapper had been due to headline One MusicFest in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday, alongside performers including Nelly, Fantasia, and band Earth, Wind & Fire.

The 32-year-old star wrote: “I am so sad to share this news, but I’ve been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency the last couple of days and I won’t be able to perform at One MusicFest.

“It breaks my heart that I won’t get to see my fans this weekend and I really wish I could be there.

“Bardi Gang – thank you for understanding and I’ll be back better and stronger soon.”

Cardi B – whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar – signed off the post telling fans, “Don’t worry”, adding in the caption: “Thank you guys for understanding… I will see you soon.”
