The annual receptions, for those aged 65 and over, will take place on Tuesday, December 3.
Both the morning event (at 10am) and the afternoon event (at 2pm) will feature refreshments and music.
Businesses are invited to donate raffle prizes, with further information available via email at civic@york.gov.uk.
To attend the morning or afternoon reception, residents must complete an application form, available from the council’s Customer Centre at West Offices, from any York library, or electronically via email at civic@york.gov.uk.
Completed paper forms should be dropped off or mailed to ‘The Christmas Cheer Draw’, c/o Civic Services, West Offices, Station Rise, York, YO1 6GA.
Completed electronic forms should be emailed back to civic@york.gov.uk.
The deadline is 5pm on Monday, November 25.
Randomly drawn names will be sent a ticket for one of the sessions.
