In a statement, a spokesperson for Portsmouth City Council said: “We can confirm our website is part of a UK-wide cyber attack, meaning users will have problems accessing the site.

“We apologise for any inconvenience, but you can still find our online services at my.portsmouth.gov.uk/MyServices.”

Southampton City Council, New Forest Borough Council, Eastleigh Borough Council, and Fareham Borough Council all appeared to be unaffected by the cyber attack.
