Former Union home secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla appointed Manipur governor; Arif Mohammed Khan new Bihar governor | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: NEW DELHI: President Droupadi Murmu has appointed former Union home secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla as Manipur’s governor, while ex-Army chief Vijay Kumar Singh has been named as Mizoram’s governor.
Additionally, Kerala governor Arif Mohammed Khan has been transferred to Bihar. The Rashtrapati Bhavan announced that Bihar governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar will succeed Khan as Kerala’s governor.
The Rashtrapati Bhavan confirmed Arif Mohammed Khan’s appointment as Bihar’s governor in an official statement.

President Murmu has accepted Odisha governor Raghubar Das’s resignation.
The official order further revealed that Mizoram governor Hari Babu Kambhampati will assume the role of Odisha’s governor, replacing Das.
These appointments will become effective from the day each appointee takes charge of their respective positions.
