Four people dead after shooting in south Wichita, officials say
Four people died after a shooting Sunday in south Wichita, a Sedgwick County Emergency Communications supervisor said.
Shortly before 8 p.m., Wichita police posted on X that they were investigating a shooting inside a home.
The shooting was reported at 5:44 p.m. Two addresses were given — the 1700 block of Santa Fe and the 1900 block of South Laura. The supervisor said both addresses were wrapped into one call and are presumed to be related. The four deaths occurred between the two addresses.
“It appears to be homicide,” the supervisor said in a phone call.
