Glasgow woman hit by pick-up truck last weekend dies in hospital
Victoria Cairns was hit by an orange Mistubishi L200 on Farmeloan Road at around 8pm on Saturday, November 2.
The 40-year-old was taken to Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and we previously reported that she was fighting for her life in a ‘critical’ state.
Now the force has revealed she sadly died on Wednesday, November 6.
Officers are still investigating the full circumstances of the crash.
Sergeant Andrew Coutts said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman at this difficult time. They have asked that their privacy is respected.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and I would again ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.”
