Harry and Andrew ‘mocked by palace courtiers with brutal three-word nickname’
Courtiers at Buckingham Palace have reportedly given both Prince Harry and Prince Andrew the same three-word nickname.
A source claimed to The Times that the pair are referred to as the “Dukes of Hazard” given the concerns and worries they have both triggered in recent years.
Whilst Harry has left the Royal Family and moved to the USA to pursue a new life with wife Meghan Markle, Andrew has been embroiled in another scandal, after it was revealed he had once been connected to suspected Chinese spy.
This has been the latest in a long line of incidents involving the Duke of York, who has been battling with his brother King Charles to try and stay at Royal Lodge, since he ceased royal duties following revelations of his friendship with the convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
The proximity of Andrew’s connection to the suspected Chinese spy, businessman Yang Tengbo, has triggered speculation over whether he would be present for Christmas and what 2025 could hold for him.
Speaking on The Sun’s YouTube channel, royal biographer Andrew Lownie suggested what could happen to the Duke of York as another scandal rocks the Royal Family, ruminating whether the Duke could leave the UK entirely.
He claimed: “I don’t think he’s going to go to Sandringham ever again. Well, my own feeling is they need to distance themselves from him. I mean, clearly when Beatrice got married, it was done very quietly.
“There were no pictures released of him at the wedding. And I think that’s what they need to do. I mean there’s rumours that he may go to the Middle East, which I think actually have some validity, and divide his time between the Middle East and here. He needs to get out of view so people totally forget about him.”
Meanwhile, 2024 has seen Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attempting to build and start several projects in order to solidify their foundations in the USA. Since their departure nearly five years ago, they have faced wave after wave of criticism for their projects, including Harry’s explosive memoir, Spare, released in January 2023.
Speaking about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex one expert, royal photographer Arthur Edwards, told the publication that Harry will not be easily forgiven for his actions since leaving the Firm.
Arthur said: “Ever since he left this country the split became so huge between the royal family here, us, the media and him. Mainly because he just rubbished the Royal Family. You can’t rubbish the King’s wife Camilla and expect to be easily forgiven.
“You can’t rubbish William’s wife and be easily forgiven. And for profit, and that’s really what wrangles with me because Harry wasn’t down to his last 30 bobs, he had plenty of money. There was no need to do that.”
Buckingham Palace has been approached for comment.
