I Did NOT Agree With Billboard’s “Greatest Pop Stars Of The 21st Century” List, So I Made My Own (Way More Correct) Version

Listen, like I said, this is my list, so what I say goes 🫵 and what I say is that LADY GAGA was born to be a pop star. And it emulates in everything she does, which is why she is STEFANI GERMANOTTA ITALIAN PRINCIPESSA NUMBER 1 FOREVER CHAMPION OF THE WORLD!!!!

I think a great pop star has to be a devoted student of the craft (unafraid to reference IF YOU WILL!). And all of Gaga’s work has been a true reflection of the past, present and future of pop. Starting with her debut album The Fame in 2008, Gaga has taken inspo from the legends who came before her (Madonna, David Bowie etc), and transformed it into a world of her own.

With six albums under her belt (NOT INCLUDING LG6.5 Harlequin and all her Tony Bennett jazz collabs), three very iconic films, two different Las Vegas residencies, one Super Bowl halftime show appearance, one VERY ICONIC 2009 performance of “Paparazzi” at the VMAs, endless fashion moments like the Meat Dress we STILL talk about, music videos that reinvented the genre, Oscar-winning song “Shallow,” (PAUSING TO CATCH MY BREATH), a longtime outspoken history of LGBTQ+ advocacy, an award-winning beauty line Haus Labs, and one LOL feud with Perez Hilton — Lady Gaga has influenced the culture beyond what we can comprehend.

And while it’s difficult to fully capture someone’s legacy when they still have eras to go, we can see Lady Gaga’s impact best in the new generation of pop stars. Girls like Chappell Roan and Addison Rae are born from the school of Gaga, and are just getting started. Her impact on music, fandom, fashion, and culture will be felt for centuries to come. She’s mother! Now, PUT YOUR PAWS UP!!!!! 🙋🏻‍♀️
