The North Pole’s most famous resident is currently making his rounds, bringing toys and festive cheer to millions of children around the world.

While making his annual visit to the UK, Mr Claus, aged 1752, was seen whizzing across the night sky in his iconic one-horse open sleigh fronted by none other than Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer.

John Doe, a delivery driver from Bournemouth said he spotted the beloved saint while out making deliveries in the area ahead of Christmas Day.

He said that while it was “hard to tell” if it was him at first because of how dark it was, he has “no doubt” he saw Santa.

The 27-year-old added that Santa Claus is one of his “biggest heroes” and “inspired” him to get into the delivery business.

In Glasgow, six-year-old schoolgirl Sarah McKee said she saw a “man in a red coat” travelling along in a “flying carriage” before landing on her neighbour’s roof.

A few moments after rushing back to bed and pretending to be asleep, she heard a loud thud on her roof followed by jingles and the clopping of reindeer hoofs.

34-year-old Bradford carer Caron Taylor was on the way back from her last house visit when a “huge gust of wind” shook her car.

She said: “I couldn’t believe my eyes! When I looked up and saw the underside of a red sleigh flying right across the motorway I was speechless!”

However, this sighting was short-lived as Santa and his reindeers vanished into the night.

Sharing her thoughts about the once-in-a-lifetime experience, she said “It was wonderful but he certainly wasn’t under the speed limit.”

These sightings, which represent only a handful of those reported in the UK, are sure to keep Santa deniers quiet for another year.
