October 28, 2024, will mark the first death anniversary of the beloved ‘Friends’ star Matthew Perry. Ahead of it, his mother Suzanne Morrison along with her husband and Perry’s stepfather, Keith Morrison did an interview recalling the late star, where she mentioned the last conversation she had with Matthew. Reflecting on the last conversation they had, she believes Matthew Perry had a premonition about his demise.
“He went through a period, interestingly enough, just before he died when he was showing me one of his new houses,” she recalled while talking to Today. The interview will air on Monday in honor of Matthew, but the preview of the same was shared on the NBC Morning News Friday. From Suzanne’s account, it seemed that Matthew had an eerie sense of what was to come.
She said that Perry expressed his admiration and happiness in a way that wasn’t usual. “He came up to me and said, ‘I love you so much, and I’m so happy to be with you now. It was almost as though it was a premonition or something. I didn’t think about it at the time, but later I realized how rare that kind of conversation was for us,” she shared.
He even told her he was not frightened anymore. These words worried her, and she added, “There was an inevitability to what was going to happen next to him, and he felt it very strongly.”
