Patriots top defender to play vs. Dolphins after last-minute injury designation
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez will play Sunday against the Dolphins after being a game-time decision.
Gonzalez is officially active after going through a pre-game workout in front of head strength and conditioning coach Deron Mayo. The top cornerback was added to the injury report Friday after being limited in practice with a hip injury. He was officially listed as questionable.

— Wise also went through a pre-game workout but seemingly didn’t pass his tests.
— Milton can only enter the game if Drake Maye and Jacoby Brissett both suffer injuries.
— The Patriots have wide receivers Kayshon Boutte, Kendrick Bourne, DeMario Douglas, Ja’Lynn Polk and Javon Baker available.
— The Patriots are light on edge defenders, though they did elevate Keshawn Banks from the practice squad to join Keion White, Anfernee Jennings and Yannick Ngakoue.
— Eight offensive linemen will dress: left tackle Vederian Lowe, left guard Michael Jordan, center Ben Brown, right guard Mike Onwenu, right tackle Demontrey Jacobs, backup center Lecitus Smith and backup guards Sidy Sow and Layden Robinson. Offensive lineman Cole Strange was not activated from the PUP list after returning to practice.
— Christian Barmore is active for the second straight week. He joins defensive tackles Davon Godchaux, Jeremiah Pharms, Eric Johnson and Daniel Ekuale.
— Rookie tight end Jack Westover is set to make his NFL debut after being a practice squad elevation.
