Secretary Blinken’s Meeting with UK Foreign Secretary Lammy – United States Department of State

Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy today in Brussels. The Secretary and Foreign Secretary discussed the implications of Russia’s decision to introduce DPRK troops into its war on Ukraine. Secretary Blinken emphasized the importance of continued security assistance for Ukraine to defend itself against Russia’s aggression. On Gaza, he reiterated the need to end the war, secure the release of all hostages, and surge humanitarian assistance. They also discussed the need for diplomatic resolution that ends fighting along the Blue Line and allows civilians in both Lebanon and Israel to return home.
