The attack by Ukraine last Wednesday is said to have wiped out Lt-Gen Valery Solodchuk.

It is believed 18 of Russian tyrant Vladimir Putin’s officers were also killed, while a further 18 were wounded.

US-based Global Defense Corp reported that 500 North Korean soldiers fighting alongside the Russians were lost in the blast.

There was also a suggestion that one of North Korean despot Kim Jong-un’s generals was injured.

The reports, which have not been independently verified, say the pinpoint weapons hit a Putin command post and underground military facility in the Kursk region.

It is the first time UK missiles have been used to blast targets deep within Russia.

The losses, which are yet to be confirmed by Russian or North Korean authorities, may explain why Putin fired a hypersonic missile at the Dnipro region of Ukraine on Thursday.

Earlier in the week, up to 12 Storm Shadow missiles were launched by a Ukrainian aircraft.

Britain’s Storm Shadow missiles are a nightmare for enemies as they are capable of dodging air defences.

The £800,000 weapons – which were already being fired within Ukraine – use GPS to precisely hit targets, and can travel at 600mph.

A clip shared online recorded the sound of several missiles flying toward the Kursk region.

The governor of the region had said earlier that two missiles had been shot down, without specifying their type.

The footage is believed to show the missiles near to an underground Russian command centre, say Ukrainian news site Defense Express.

They also claim that there is a high likelihood of North Korean troops being inside the hidden bunker.
