Toronto Fire probing 2nd blaze at North York home in weeks | CBC News
Toronto Fire says it is investigating the second blaze at a North York home in under two weeks.
Emergency services were called to the residence on Upper Canada Drive, near Bayview Avenue and Highway 401, at around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Firefighters arrived to find the house fully engulfed in flames, a Toronto Fire spokesperson said.
Crews were able to extinguish the blaze and no injuries were reported. Pictures from the scene show the home was gutted by the fire.
The residence was empty during the second fire, according to the spokesperson.
A family who lived in the home had been displaced by a previous fire that broke out on the upper level on Nov. 29.
Paramedics said at the time three adults and three teenagers had safely exited the residence and were treated for very minor injuries.
Toronto Fire said it had not determined the origin or cause of either blaze as of Tuesday morning.
