United States, India Complete East Asia Consultations -Announce Memorandum of Understanding – United States Department of State
The United States and India successfully concluded the latest U.S.-India East Asia Consultations on December 4, further solidifying the robust partnership between our two nations. Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel Kritenbrink and Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu joined Indian counterpartJoint Secretary for East Asia Gourangalal Das for comprehensive discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation in the East Asia region.
During the visit, U.S. and Indian counterparts discussed continued cooperation between the State Department’s Office of China Coordination (CH) and India’s Centre for Contemporary China Studies (CCCS) in accordance with the CH-CCCSMemorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The United States values its strategic partnership with India and looks forward to continued collaboration to promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
