NORTHGLENN, Colo. (KDVR) — Northglenn police continue to investigate a Halloween night shooting that claimed three lives at a house party near Belford Drive and Bruce Lane. No suspects are in custody.

Lorraine Quintana and Adan Pacheco, both age 20, were killed in the shootings. Their families tell FOX31 they were both in the wrong place at the wrong time.

“I never in a million years (thought) that I’ll be losing my son to something like this he was such a good boy I kept him away from the streets,” Pacheco’s mother told FOX31.

Family, friends and others in the community gathered at a vigil on Sunday to pay respects to the couple.

“I just miss him a lot you know I can’t believe he died like this he didn’t deserve this,” Pacheco’s twin brother, Juan, said.

Quintana is described as a devoted mother and loving, outgoing and free-spirited sister and friend. Having graduated from high school, she was building a career in the beauty industry. Pacheco had enlisted in the army and dreamed of completing his college training in electrician studies.

“They were trying so hard to get the life that they wanted for themselves,” said one of Quintana’s sisters.

The couple leaves behind a 1-year-old child.

“I feel like I’m the next thing to closer to a dad for her you know I’ve got to take care of his daughter,” said Juan Pacheco.

The families say they will all surround Quintana and Pacheco’s child with love and support.

The victim’s parents are pleading for an end to gun violence.

“My firstborn daughter was murdered on Halloween I don’t understand the violence that’s behind it or how somebody can so quickly take somebody’s life. I don’t understand it,” Tara Guvara said.
