This weekend grab a cup of hot cocoa before making a stop at the UT campus to enjoy the orange and white Longhorn light show with the family. Longhorn Lights
The University of Texas has brought back its ‘Longhorn Lights‘ show for the community to enjoy this holiday season. Enjoy a nine-mile-long stroll through campus while experiencing the Longhorn light show made up of orange and white twinkling lights wrapped around 24 Heritage Oak trees. The Light show also includes some holiday favorite tunes from the Longhorn Band.
This free light show is located along Guadalupe Street between 21st and 24th or ‘The Drag.’ Longhorn Lights runs through Jan. 1 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Free and metered street parking is available around the university, and both the San Antonio and Nueces parking garages are also an option.
Austin Pickle Ranch Holiday Pickleball Tournament
Austin Pickle Ranch is hosting its Sparkle and Smash Pickleball Tournament open for everyone to participate in a little festive competition. Get ready to play and compete with the entire family with 2.5 hours of indoor pickleball play. Decorate your gear and put on your best holiday outfit to compete in the best-dressed competition.
This tournament takes place on Saturday, Dec. 28 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Gather your family and friends and sign up here.
