West Coast 'Bomb Cyclone' predicted
A powerful storm system will bring heavy mountain snowfall, rain, and high winds to the Pacific Northwest and Northern California through midweek. Numerous flash floods, hazardous travel, power outages, and tree damage can be expected as the storm reaches max intensity on Wednesday. A storm is classified as a “bomb cyclone” when there is a 24+ mb pressure drop in 24 hours. This intense atmospheric river pattern and associated cold front is expected to see a near historic 67 mb pressure fall in 24 hours.
